Hey, I'm Blake Adams. I'm a real estate agent based in Lexington and Georgetown, (Central) Kentucky, and I've been doing this for 12 years. This site, Lexington KY Home Guide, is something I built because I kept seeing the same problem over and over.

People would reach out to me after they'd already spent weeks trying to figure out Central Kentucky from a thousand miles away. They'd been reading generic articles that could have been written about any city, watching videos that barely scratched the surface, and trying to piece together a real picture of what life here actually looks like. By the time they found me, they were overwhelmed and behind.

I didn't want that to keep happening. So I built this.

What this site actually is

Lexington KY Home Guide is a local resource written by me, for anyone trying to figure out if Lexington or Georgetown (or Central KY) is the right move, or trying to navigate buying or selling a home in this market. Not cookie-cutter real estate content. Real talk from someone who has lived and worked in this area for over a decade.

You'll find honest neighborhood breakdowns, relocation guides that tell you what no one else bothers to mention, buyer and seller advice that's specific to this market in 2026, and comparisons between the cities and towns in Central Kentucky so you can make a genuinely informed decision.

Everything here is written the way I'd explain it to a friend sitting across from me at a coffee shop. Because that's how I work, and it's the only way I know how to be helpful.

A little about me

I grew up in Kentucky. I went to Eastern Kentucky University and I still have deep roots here. I've watched this area grow and change, and I've helped hundreds of families buy and sell homes through every kind of market this state has thrown at us.

My specialty is luxury properties in the $500K and up range, relocation clients coming in from other states, and life transition listings, meaning the moves that happen because of a divorce, a downsizing, a major career change, or a new chapter that requires something completely different. Those are the clients I'm best at, not because I have a script for them, but because I know how to listen and how to move with urgency when it matters.

I built my entire business through social media and community connection. No cold calls, no door knocking, no ads. Just showing up consistently, being honest, and letting people get to know me before they ever need me. That approach has worked for 12 years because people can tell when someone actually cares, and I genuinely do.

Why I created a whole website instead of just social media

Social media is great for connection but terrible for depth. A 60-second video can't really explain why Chevy Chase is different from Hartland, or what the commute from Georgetown to downtown Lexington looks like at 8 in the morning, or what a buyer in 2026 needs to know before they start making offers in this market.
